I finally got a chance to load it backwards and haul it. The rear of the truck only sagged about 2" so I didn't use the weight bars. It didn't buck at all and towed fine. I think it didn't have enough tongue weight when it loaded forward. Thanks for the help and suggestions.
Yes it was...but it was just a bit too temping to drive the car off the trailer without the ramps. Almost cleared the end of the trailer but the bottom skid plate caught one bolt head on the rear of the trailer and bent the trailer bar a bit. No big deal, but had to give it a try while no one was watching.
You are going to get a "slight bucking" with any trailer no matter how it is set up. It's the trailer axles going through a bump or low spot and transmitting the resultant bump through your truck suspension. You're going to feel it.
