Fuse panel question

Need some help identifying my fuse panel.

I have a 65 F250. I found the following diagrams on the web.

This is what my fuse panel looks like. The drawing filename says it's for a 69.

This is the one I found for my year, which says it's for 64 to 72.

So my question is... do I have a later model fuse panel in my truck? And from that, might I assume I have a later model truck wiring harness?

I've got a '65 and the fuse panel is the same as yours. Labeled a bit differently than the diag. but otherwise the same.

Thank you. I was hoping to hear that. I wasn't looking forward to troubleshooting a non-stock wiring harness.

From what I can see on mine, I think it's also labeled differently. I think the 2A fuse shown here is a 9A fuse on mine. I have trouble getting under the dash to read it.

Salvaged from a 65, can not recall if from a F100, or F250? Same fuse block in both my 65's.

Thanks Dave. That's exactly what I need to see. It's my fuse panel, and I can read your pics better than those I took of mine still in the truck.

Thanks Bill.

My serial number is 699333 so it is the correct part. Now I just have to figure out what all the added wires go to.

The seat is going to have to come out. I hate to take a running truck down, but there's no other way.

Corrections to fuse panel labeling

I was able to read the fuse panel today. I don't know if this will help anyone else, but here's what I have on my 65 F250.

The top fuse is 20A for the Heater.

The next fuse is 14A for the Radio, Stop and Turn Signals.

The next is an unknown (assumed 2A) for the Instrument panel lights. I assume because the rating is not marked on the face of the panel.

The bottom left is 9A for the dome light.

The bottom right is 14A for the Cigar lighter.

Does anyone know if the rating for the instrument panel lights is 2A?

Dash lights are 2 amp. The Custom Cab with the sweep speedo only uses two of the three bulbs. The round speedo, and tw gauges use all three, Found the third one without the bulb, and no extra hole in the back of the dash assembly. Bob

Thanks Bob. I'll have to buy some 2A fuses. I have a Custom Cab, but they swapped in the round speedo, so I'll have all three bulbs.

I checked the power to the 2A slot and now I may know why the PO didn't bother to put a fuse in there. There's no power to that fuse slot. I'll have to pull the panel off the firewall to see what they did there. According to the above backside view pic of the fuse panel, and according to the wiring diagram, that 2A fuse has a Blue wire with a Red tracer going to the Instrument panel lights.

Can anyone tell me what the two unfused bus connectors on the left side of the panel are used for in a stock truck. The PO has two doubled up wires in each of them. Is that originally how the fuse panel gets power from the Ignition Switch Battery terminal?

Blue/red wire is for dash lights however, power is at the 2amp fuse only when the switch is on.

1 of the unfused connectors on mine is used for the windshield washer switch. Both seem to be hot only when key switch is on.

On a side note, just some advice;
Spent better part of yesterday sorting out the last of my electrical issues. Dash lights and dome light didn't work. Both problems were traced back to rusty terminals at the fuse block. Cleaned 'em up with sandpaper and everything was working. Ready to jump up and down with joy since now every electrical component was working properly. Last night as I wrapped things up, signals and brake lights stopped working. Even more frustrating was that they were never an issue. This morning, with a clear head, went back over the basics and found again the terminals at the fuse block to be the cause.
Point being, make sure all contacts are clean. Wasted too much time over something so simple.

Now, perhaps just to gloat a bit, I knew if I looked hard enough I'd find some rust on this 50+yr old truck. Fellow Arizonans will appreciate that one. Others, not so much

Just a thought, as AZSCAWPION mentioned, the 2 amp fuse power source is thru the switch, perhaps before removing the fuse box check the connections at the light switch: just a reminder, one can dim, brighten, the instrument lights by turning the **** counterclockwise, or clockwise, and turn the dash lights off by turning the **** to the full counterclockwise position??

Thanks. I noticed the fuse connections are rusty in my truck too. I thought that was a little strange, as it's inside the cab and on a CA truck I will definitely clean them up before I reinstall the fuses.
