Sure it will be inconvenient, but may be your best avenue.
Definitely buying used just found one for 600 only 85k miles with warranty that's gets work truck back on the road faster and more money in my pocket vs it being off the road for 2 months not making any money and I'll have myself a nice project again rebuilding and bullet proofing the other one

It sounds like you have come up with a plan to get your truck back on the road quickly with a used trans and are planning to either have the original rebuilt or do it yourself, that's great! I'm glad that this is going to work out for you without having your work truck being down for an extended period of time.

Welcome to the forum, as you can see from the responses here, there are plenty of good folks, some with enormous amounts of subject matter expertise ready and willing to give excellent advice to help you out. You may also notice that all of their responses are easier to read and understand exactly what they are trying to say because of punctuation. No one is suggesting, even remotely, that this an English class, but some small amount of punctuation can go a long way in keeping the readers interested enough to offer up advice. This IS a truck forum, but it IS also a written word form of communication, so making your written words easier understand by clearly separating your thoughts and ideas makes those thoughts and ideas more clear to the readers. And isn't that the goal, having the members understand clearly what you are asking when you are seeking help?

Thank you for being polite about it, as you probably assumed it was a very stressful day and I was just in a hurry to know how bad the problem was. Also another question I have is.....are there any gaskets I will need for the used transmission install , along with any seals I should replace on it to be sure not to have leaks? Also would I possibly be able to reuse the HD torque converter I had in rebuilt transmission if I flush it out multiple times? It is a 6 stud and I'm aware not all v10 4r100s came with that some were 4 I believe ? Last question how can I check the integrity of the converters?

There is only one way to clean a torque converter, and it's the same procedure to check it out.

Put the converter on a lathe and cut it open. Clean and inspect it, then weld it back together. The final step is to balance the converter.

Also is the 4r100 my only option? Is there any other auto that will bolt in place

Not unless you cut it open and clean it. Transmission shops do this all the time.

There are no other transmissions that will bolt in and work. If you were to change to any other transmissions you'll have a huge amount of work and cost to get a computer to make it shift.
