I get to play issue clerk in the test equipment lab, buddy called off sick. Yesterday kind of sucked, 34 more people got their layoff notices.

No, it sucks. People I've worked with for 18 years getting laid off or retiring. The whole damn thing sucks.

That it does. We went through a round of layoffs here at the university a few years ago. That sucked alot. One guy made out pretty good though. Guy was getting ready to retire in a month and they told him he was getting laid off. Here is 2 months of pay for severance. He retired officially when the severance pay was given to him 2 months later.
