No offense taken. I know a lot of guys running this oil and am running it myself. Im going to stick with it. They say they will keep the CJ-4 rating, didn't seem to any inclination that it was going away. good news especially for those worried about the CK-4

I also know, I ran a lot of different oils in my old 7.3, but it ran best with Schaeffers. I ran Delo, Rotella, etc, and the engine didn't like those oils as much as it did Schaeffers.

Since you post that exact same thing in every oil thread Mike, I'm assuming your one of those guys that get's free Amsoil in exchange for posting on how great it is every chance you get in all the forums?

Thanks PwrStroke99 for sharing... And that new price point makes more sense to me. Especially if you are doing UOAs and the oil is working well for you.

If I extend my oil changes, I would probably not change the oil for well over a year. Sometimes I end up changing the oil due to time in the motor vs. miles.

So I switched to Rotella T-6 about a year ago. 2011 6.7 w/ 134k ... running up-and-down the interstate towing nothing / no loads. Thinking about going back to Dino, which I believe is Rotella T-4 now. Is it ok to switch between Dino and synthetic? Issues or concerns?

Man, you better have all your ducks in row, toe to toe, and your bullet proof vest on too, if you want to post anything askew on a forum that Karl4Cat subscribes to. Nothing gets past Rodney. FTE should make him a moderator. Pushing 12K posts, he might as well be.

Yes, Pennzoil does. But it is targeted to meet the specifications and needs of the European car market (Mercedes, Volkswagon, Fiat, Ferrari, Maserati). While rated for gasoline engines and LIGHT duty passenger car diesels (SN/CF), it is not listed as a "heavy duty" diesel engine oil, nor does it have a CJ-4 (nor CK-4) API rating.

That first line was a doozy! Rhymed and all...LOL.

While I'm honored at the suggestion that moderating could be in my wheelhouse, I'm not sure the powers that be would be in agreement...
