Hello I just purchased a 2001 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer Edition for 2120.00 it has the sunroof YEUUUUUUP
it had some front motor knocking and upon inspection had seized lifter on the right front cylinder, I replaced all lifters on that side and notice i still had a knocking sound? removed the driver side valve cover and noticed timing chain was slack and when i ran the car with both valve covers off no knocking, so i'm changing the timing chains and guides also adjusters, found the set at Summit Racing for 224.00, i later have seen kit on eBay 75.00 but decide to stay with Summit since theirs come as a OEM replacement hope that's better than the Ebay one's from china? any advice would be appreciated! also got the camshaft positioning tools and locking mechanism tool for the cam shaft!

 

Make 100% sure your timing marks are where they're supposed to be before removing the old chains. You cannot rotate the crankshaft more than a couple of degrees without risking valve damage once the chains are off.
