Price check on a 77 Lincoln 460

Hello. I am looking to buy a 1977 460 engine that was from a Lincoln. Front sump oil pan. Condition is average to good for the age. Its a blind purchase. Cannot run it to verify. Its a risk. I plan to swap this into a 78 F250 4x4 w/ NP435

Asking $500. Is that a fair price?

I don't believe a front sump will work, because of cross member clearance. Same issue with the oil filter mount which would have to be relocated.

That's correct. I plan to buy an aftermarket rear sump oil pan, and rear sump oil pump. I have a lift kit, so no other issues with clearance.

My current 400m bellhousing for a NP435 should bolt up... I hope...

It's a good deal if it runs. Cam timing would be retarded in that motor tho...

There's work involved with the np swap as well, but it has been done.
