'48 f1 fender extension patches
I'm about ready to pass up on these R&L front fender extensions and go with FG which might end up being cost effective for a guy that doesn't weld and will end up paying someoneone to weld patches even if they exist.
It looks like there was a previous patch on the left front panel but it too is rotted out.
I've looked all over and I haven't seen any prefab patches for these extension panels. Ebay has 2 FG for $160 + $60 shipping which may be my best option.
Any thoughts??
Thanks.

Fiberglass repair sounds like a stretch for me..but just maybe..humm
In the meantime I've put them up for sale on CL & EB to say what I can fetch for them.
If I can sell them I'll probably end up buying the FG.
Midwest early ford has new steel for $550 a pair plus shipping. Gulpp!!
Thanks for your input.

It is really pretty easy. Use the woven mat (looks like cloth not shredded mat), mix the 2-part resin, paint the area to be covered, lay down the cloth and then with a dabbing motion saturate the cloth. Oh . . . And wear rubber gloves.
