Question Re: Soft Roll-up Tonneau Cover
I will be picking up my 2017 F350 King Ranch 6.7L SB SRW early next week. I want to install one of the Ford soft tonneau covers: either the "Premium Soft Roll-up Truxedo Platinum," Part No. VHC3Z-99501A42-C ($495), or the "Tonneau Cover Soft Roll-up," Part No. VHC3Z-99501A42-A ($349).
I was hoping to install retractable bed hooks in the stake holes on the top of the side walls on the bed. Does anyone know if the aluminum/Velcro rails that the cover attaches to are installed over the stake hole caps preventing access?
Also, in your opinion, is the "Platinum" cover worth the extra $146 quality-wise?

If the "Platinum" is the Truxedo Lo Pro (which I think it is, maybe ask the Ford dealer to be certain), then it will leave the stake pockets open. And yes, it is worth the extra money in my mind. I've had two of the Lo Pro's and love the low profile, single handed latch, and mounting system. I'm debating getting the Lo Pro or the "Platinum" from Ford.

Thank you for the information. Very much appreciated.

I highly recommend this one... Best looking one IMO and when rolled up you can still see to backup.. I had one on for 2+ yrs (GM) and the thing still looks great.

It's very worth it to get the Platinum one. I've actually seen the other one get blown off in heavy cross winds.
Ford will cover it for the 3/36 warranty, but Truxedo will actually extend it to their standard 5-year warranty.
