Oh perfect. Ran a compression calculator with some +10cc pistons and 390 stroke and I got about 10.5:1. Wouldn´t mind that kind of compression

I like the look of that 3rd run a lot so I've decided on the 3rd setup. Found an edelbrock package on summit https://www.summitracing.com/parts/edl-2044/overview/make/ford

If you have deep pockets $$$$ , the 445 stroker kit with the Edelbrock heads would makes some serious HP/TQ

I bought the Prison Break kit, and while Barry can be very hard to reach and has trouble hitting his projected dates, he knows how to put together the parts packages and has been very helpful in areas where he had the expertise but it wasn't really his issue.

I don't regret it.

I also had Barry prepare some BBM heads for me since the FElony heads he sells were not available at the time (he had issues getting the blanks cast). I haven't had it on a dyno yet but in about 100 miles of early tuning it has impressed. Sadly ran into winter and I'm waiting for spring to pull her out.

What exactly are "deep pockets"? This is the route I'm looking to go with my build. What's the ballpark expense for that?

I'm about $12k on my 445. Heads, rotating assembly, machine work, cam, rockers, new balancer, fly wheel resurfacing, new clutch, fasteners, carb, intake, fluids, etc. It adds up.

Once you decide to build a stroked 10.5 to 1 compression engine you are into the 500/500 zone and you can't help yourself.

I'm definitely gonna spiral into the modification world after this. I'm going with a 390 but Edelbrock heads for now until a while down the road, then stroker kit. I should see 600 in the future after everything

I'm not going that deep. This will be a daily driver. Not going to the track with it. Just want a good sounding street pounder. I've looked at so many options my head is swimming.

Like I said before the $49 is money well spent for DD5 . when Bored I play and build dream engines and add Cams /Intakes/heads to my Database.
