F 250 vs. F 350... daily driver
from past experience, yes to the F 350 for a towing work truck as most companies still require a " 1 " ton labeling... but for a daily driver the F 250 is way cheaper on insurance... because?? the insurance companies say if you have a 350 you will do "work" with it. I even found some wont even insure a 350 anymore.

1. Cost of insurance went up zero.
2. Plates went up slightly (IL)
3. Biggest pain was the biannual safety inspection which is $35 and some time every 6 months.

No issues here with a F350 and there wasn't any in Florida either. Cheaper than my wife's SUVs or cars.
Plates are a little more due to the actual weight of the vehicle. (although in AK it's more expensive to plate a leased car and some of the fees are by the year of the vehicle, newer = more money)

LOL. I don't get this argument either. I live in PA and have zero issues registering or insuring my F350 dually for personal use. Registration asks if it is used for commerce and I just mark no. Costs $303 a year to register at 14k and $862 to insure.

The only issue i had was financing. We had used a specific bank for car loans for over 10yrs. Has a stellar record with them and top tier credit. Bought the truck on Saturday evening and didnt talk to our specific banker who previously financed every diesel superduty ive owned. The guy that got the paperwork kick back the load because they "never" finance diesels or f350 trucks. So we went with the bank the dealer uses that was .01 lower apr with out a issue. Still 3.49 apr. Past that never had any issue with having a f350. Probably wont be doing business with that bank either
