BIG 3 Auto Parts Swap this weekend

Just a heads up for anyone in the San Diego commuting area...Fri-Sun this weekend is the BIG 3 swap at Qualcomm Stadium. I'll be in space C34 in the West section, stop by and say hey.

Can you snap a few pictures while you're there? I would love to go, but weekends off for me are scarce. Are there good deals there, or is everything marked up?

Fairly decent turnout today, weekends are when the crowds show up though. Had a few Aussies stop by looking to buy a BBW 56 that I have for sale and a 50 Merc coupe. Not too much time to walk around but there seemed to be a lot of wagons full of "stuff" being pulled around. Only 3 more years left for the BIG 3 swap...waiting on what is going to happen with Qualcomm stadium.

I'd be surprised if the whole of southern Cali couldn't find a new home for a nice swap. Camp Pendleton?

How is that swap compared to Pomona, which happens to be next weekend? Big 3 looks big, but I know Pomona bills itself as the "West Coast's Largest".
Pendleton has the room, but the restrictions to get thru the gates would kill any chance. I had a friend that lived on base, it was not easy to just come and go as a civilian.

I thought the Coronado speed fest takes place on Camp Pen.? How do they make that work?

Word at the BIG 3 today is that a contract is in place for at least 3 more years at Qualcomm...next logical place would be Del Mar Fairgrounds should the stadium property become "unavailable". No military base would ever be suitable for a public event like this one. Coronado Speed Fest is on Coronado, Camp Pendleton is some 50 miles North. I took a few good pics today, I'll post tomorrow.

That '47 looks like a steal at that price! Was there some problem like no title? It looks rust free.

I don't know Ross...there was always somebody looking at the truck but in two days no one pulled out their wallet. It's cold and rainy today, nothing I need to sell that badly so I'm home.
