BIG 3 Auto Parts Swap this weekend

Fairly decent turnout today, weekends are when the crowds show up though. Had a few Aussies stop by looking to buy a BBW 56 that I have for sale and a 50 Merc coupe. Not too much time to walk around but there seemed to be a lot of wagons full of "stuff" being pulled around. Only 3 more years left for the BIG 3 swap...waiting on what is going to happen with Qualcomm stadium.

How is that swap compared to Pomona, which happens to be next weekend? Big 3 looks big, but I know Pomona bills itself as the "West Coast's Largest".
Pendleton has the room, but the restrictions to get thru the gates would kill any chance. I had a friend that lived on base, it was not easy to just come and go as a civilian.

Word at the BIG 3 today is that a contract is in place for at least 3 more years at Qualcomm...next logical place would be Del Mar Fairgrounds should the stadium property become "unavailable". No military base would ever be suitable for a public event like this one. Coronado Speed Fest is on Coronado, Camp Pendleton is some 50 miles North. I took a few good pics today, I'll post tomorrow.
