For the 6.0, without a doubt my number one tool is Torque Pro -- use it almost every time I drive the truck. Since I've done a number of electrical-type projects, 6.0 and non-6.0, lately... Next is my auto ranging multi-meter. Then it's my gallon zip lock bag of box wrenches (try not to laugh)...

I did just pick up one of those aluminum sheet-rocker scaffolds, but haven't used it yet. I couldn't get it out of my head how useful it would be after the subject came up around Xmas time... Then of course they all went off sale but recently Lowes dropped their price on the cheaper Werner model and I got Home Depot to price match less 10% (so like $26.xx) -- driver's side ground cables, all of them, is 1st project in line for it...

Hey, OP: these threads are fun to do once in awhile, like the show-us-your-garage/shop mess, etc...
Speaking of garage mess i really need a bigger garage lol

Boy, you guys can actually fit your truck into the garage. Mine looks like a storage unit and I'm not sure if my trucks would fit if it was empty.

My most used tool is this forum (iPad) followed by the checkbook.

Primarily because of a lack of time and space.

I'm not sure about that Momma was getting grumpy, until I took her to the local dealership to see the cost of a new replacement. She now thinks that we can do a LOT of repairs/maintenance for half the price!

Of course I had to show her the full dress Platinum 6.7

Id have to say my favorite tool so far is my 2' scaffold/platform so I can reach inside the engine bay! I cant imagine what its like being shorter than 6', because even I have to reach!!!

I use my 3ft high wood empty wire reel. We have lots of them at my work. ANYTIME I have to pop the hood it is always the first thing I pull out, usually followed up by my Husky mini socket set.

I love my Craftsman 3/8" air ratchet... and my new Porter Cable 30 gal. air compressor. My old 15 gal Craftsman compressor served me well, but it was starting to get too scary to use. The drain plug clogged (probably with rust) long ago, and I had visions of it exploding every time I used it.

Been there! This antique air compressor has a killer compressor & motor so I couldn't justify scrapping it, plus I'm a cheapo. It didn't have a drain so eventuality rotted the bottom. After many rubber washer screw bandaids to seal the pinholes I decided to weld a plate and drain in. Was a pain getting the welds air tight with just a mig, but eventually got it. Not pretty but it works.

That's a beauty. I love old machinery, they don't build them like that anymore.

My favorite tool is the bent screwdriver with the fork on the end - trim popper tool. I keep putting it back in the toolbox and it finds its way back on the workbench real quick. I never had one until a year or so ago, now I use it all over the place.

Thought I could go a little while without needing those stupid Torx bits... but the blue spring upgrade I plan on doing tomorrow means I need to go get some tonight ._. Probably going to add the Torx set to one of the most used tools on the truck :P

^^^^^This

Most used is the 12v ratchet; that impact wrench took off my wheel lugs with little effort when working on my brakes.

My favorite tool has got to be my Leatherman super tool. I've had it 27 years, never leaves my side. My wife calls it the side kick.

Maglite - always have it on my belt, whether best suit or work clothes. Also, this is amazing in tight places, even more for getting the clamp back on than removing it because it locks and you've got both hands to move it. Try it with the 6.0L thermostat hose!
