Jump Seat Swap

Does the center console swap to a jump seat easily? Has anyone done this with the 17? I saw some did it with the 2011's, I'm not sure if the seats and consoles are the same.

I'm looking to set it up for an RV trip for the whole family, 6 of us. But for my daily driver I'd like to keep the console.

Lariat and below can be ordered (40/20/40 - no console) and configured for the fold down centre front seat to act as a console. Not the same as a full console but the compromise for six passenger seating. The seat has a three point seatbelt and headrest.

If you asking about swapping hardware for a road trip - that sounds like a lot of work. The truck will be certified to carry the number of passengers as stated on the door panel. You are responsible for those passengers - your family. I hope "swap" was a poor choice of words.

Like you said it has been done on the 2011's
I did this on my 2014 regular cab it had the 2 bucket seats with the centre seat that folds down to make a big arm rest with a small storage space in it.
When I used the truck it was mostly just me and possibly one other passenger I purchased on eBay a floor centre console out of an 2008-2010 super duty I had to remove both seats as well as the centre seat and replaced it with the floor console it was a perfect fit no holes drilled and no modifications whatsoever. I didn't go with the 2011 and up console as it required more work to integrate it into the dash.
Not sure if there is a way to do it with the 2017's or not this fall I'm looking at purchasing another daily driver truck and I'm still contemplating on regular cab or super cab if I go regular cab I will be looking to do this modification again

I think if you remover the console it will leave a hole in the lower dash, as it is made to fit the dash. You may have to also find that panel or cover the hole some nothing gets kicked.
