'72 C700 How to bleed/add fluid to hydraulic clutch

hi, It would be great to get a tip on how to add hydraulic fluid to the clutch system. I see under dash what looks like the master cylinder. And I can see the slave cylinder at the transmission. I will be replacing the flex hose which is currently leaking slowly.

Basic part numbers:

7A508 = Clutch Slave Cylinder / 7A543 = Clutch Master Cylinder / 7A512 is the hydraulic line between them.

Nothing hydraulic for air brakes.

To bleed the clutch, find the bleeder screw (2208 in the diagram from post 2) on the slave cylinder. Make sure the master is full, no leaks, no bulging hoses, and bleed like brakes. You will need a helper.

I'm trying to do work on my clutch too (73 C700). I've never replaced a hydraulic flex line before. Is it possible to get one for these trucks still?

Take the old one off and take it to a place that specialize in hydraulic hoses. They can usually replicate anything.

D2HZ-7A512-A .. Tube - Clutch Master Cylinder to Slave Cylinder / 123" developed length, 1/4" steel tube & rubber hose / Obsolete

1973/86 C/CT600/900.

No Ford dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any, none on ebay.

I would assume that the tube or the parts to make one up is available from auto parts stores, when you consider how many of these trucks are still in service.

Lift dust boot, add fluid, pump clutch. If needed remove bolt at plunger top, lift up to allow fluid into plunger chamber.
