Just wondering in post number #2, in the picture what is the box or cover over the vent on the passenger side between the door and the hood?

That is an attempt (i think) for a ram air fresh air input to cab. Came from manitoba, summers are hot, more air is better. As you can see thats NOT going back on. In fact, im putting in a climate control, WITH the original heater box, that should work better...automaticaly bypass heater core when interior heat not needed...(the manual valve always failed, stuck, passed).
Also, split rear window, 60x5 AC (60 miles an hour with 5 windows!)

So now got the grill done and on (temporary as the valence goes under it first, but no safe place but on the truck!)

Hood stripped only

And then navel jelly, rust all removed, only two spots!

Front all primed and ready for block sand and paint!

And yes, this is my paint bay, 30’x60’ shop! 54 gets moved to driveway when painting!

Oh, forgot to say, grill has three coats of single stage oxford white paint, with a heavy pearl coat in first clear, with 2 more coats of clear on top. Interested to see how it looks in the bright sunlight. Pearl was 2 teaspoons in 1/3 pint of clear.

I'm going with Grabber Blue. Your colour look very close. I like it a lot. Good luck with your build!

Probably the pearl coat that makes it look different.
