37" Tires - Aftermarket Wheels - Leveled F-350
I'm gearing up for wheels and tires, and have been pouring over the threads, MFGR sites, and all other sources of information relating to Toyos, Nittos, Sotas, Ultras etc etc etc.
The off-road shop I'm working with is recommending against 37" tires on a leveled '17...due to additional forces resulting from a tire that large...trying to save me wear and tear down the road.
Question is what will i need to look out for with a 37" tire? Ball joints at 40k instead of 80k? What else? We have plenty of torque so gearing really isn't an issue, correct (3.55 E-locker)? Also, the tires i'm focusing on (Ridge Grappler, AT2, RT etc) are all in the same rough weight range...which is generally 1-5 pounds over a true 35" tire...seems insignificant.
What else am I missing r.e. tires?
Also, with the new 14 bolt rear on the SRW 350's, some of the wheel groups are having to retool, causing delays. Most if not all aftermarket wheels are already NOT hub centric, but this exercise in finding a wheel to fit the new extended hub has been...."fun". I feel like I know more about some of these companies products than they do.
Thanks in advance.
