will a 79 460 work under an 88 EFI system

thanks to all you guys I now have 79 , 460 engine Running on my test stand(what a starter nightmare you got me through!) - Sounds great!
I found an 88 ,f350 in great shape needing an engine, will this engine, with the D3VE heads, work without changes under the 88's EFI? ( other than typical oil pan and water pump) ? thanks again- Crossy

No
carb heads and EFI heads are entirely different.

if the fuelie heads are OK they will bolt right to your '79 short block.
