Broken egr tube. 1996 f150 4.9 need help!!

Had to replace my lower intake, and while doing so, tried to take the egr tube off at the manifold to make things easier, and realized the tube was cracked almost in 2.. well I went ahead and broke it off, to get it out of the way so i can put the upper intake on easier... now that my truck is back together, all im missing is my egr tube.... cant find one for sale online, no local junk yards have any around me...

Whats a solution here? the nut and everything is still on the manifold.

That EGR tube is quite rare since it was the only year Ford used DPFE (flow) based EGR feedback to the computer on these trucks. The Ford Part# is F6TZ-9D477-P. It's been discontinued for years. You may find an aftermarket, i.e. Dorman, or perhaps NOS from a dealer some place.

Since the computer is expecting flow based feedback simply plugging the ports will cause a Check Engine Light.

Stainless plumbing flex line for gas should also work if you can match the fittings.

I disagree. The 1996 light duty trucks are OBD-2 and use flow based EGR feedback. The EGR tube has two sample ports to feed the DPFE sensor. A simple tube with no ports will trigger a Check Engine Light.

No Ford dealer or obsolete parts vendor has any.
