03 v10 blows out defrost only

Hey guys. Mile marker hubs on my rig. V10. Plugged 2 ports on what I thought was the vacuum pump pass side middle of the fender. The lines coming out of what I thought was the vacuum pump were molded together going into two separate ports. I plugged both ports. What did I do wrong and what should I plug?

thanks all!

One line goes down to the front hubs (that one needs to be capped) and another vacuum line going to the firewall for the HVAC vents. That's the one that needs to be connected.

Only diesels have separate vacuum pumps. You have a 10 cylinder vacuum pump called the engine. The item on the passenger side inside fender is called the PVH solenoid. It's job in a stock system is to supply the vacuum pulses to the hubs to lock or unlock them.

Since you've gone away from vacuum-operated hubs, identify the line going from the multi-port connector that is supposed to go to the PVH solenoid and cap it BEFORE it gets to the solenoid. The solenoids have a habit of cracking and leaking vacuum.

Check to verify vacuum at the ac module. If you have it, then the seals inside need to be replaced, or buy a new unit. The crown vics of similar eta have nearly identical modules and the seal replacement is well documented. They call it the eatc. I think it's electronic automatic temperature control.
