You're kidding me right? Travis worked pretty hard to put those stickies together and they make a whole Lotta sense for someone willing to put the time into read them. And in all honesty, you've been known to give some questionable information. The stickies are solid information that have been proven over the years. I would highly recommend the stickies over anything else.

Question Keep buildin'

Told you folks that this truck is a 25 footer exact same left of my boat and let's not even go that route. And how did you guys seem to figure out it's a 03 7.3? story goes that's the second engine and what's behind her now is a 03 7.3 with obviously garret turbo, exhaust, injectors, intercooler size of my couch. My plans right now are to find the leak that's staining my brick somewhere between the engine and tranny and kinda heading towards a main seal... and figure out why first gear is so long and what's the purpose of second and third hit so hard! That's all, and unfortunately im part of a job project and I can't be on my computer or phone so I wish I can reply to each and every one of y'all but my fingers will fall off.
I pertain to a new religion, and it's FTE!
Cheers buds'

Purple tranny why not?!

That's an ATS tranny that's why it's purple, man that truck has a lot of good surprises.

My guess there was based on the turbo. The 99.5-03 trucks had the larger turbo and to swap it onto our trucks you have to also swap the up pipes and drivers manifold. Then there's the larger plenums which were also only available on the later trucks. Lastly is the oil fill riser which is easily added to any 7.3 but would have come standard on the later ones. All of these add up to either a lot of work or a complete engine swap.

So now my question is, did they reprogram the PCM or run a chip with custom tunes for the split shot injectors; or did they swap the 03 injectors for single shots?

Buddy told me that the truck was not tuned, but should I take his word for it. Nah! So how do I figure what injectors I'm running and verify that the pcm is reprogrammed and not tuned

I bet with all the stuff in that truck there is a chip in there too. Might explain the high line pressure when shifting. If it's a direct drop-in 03 it could have PMRs too
