Trim removal tips and trick, special tools?

Advice would be welcomed on how to remove the trim pieces. Are there any special tools or techniques to detaching this?

The pieces dividing the dash?

Any special tools?

Any special techniques to remove this trim? Does the window have to come out?

As far as the doors go, they are just spring loaded clips that pop into the door, should be able to pop them out.

Cant help on the dash pieces, my truck doesn't have those.

The windshield will have to be removed, the SS trim has a j-hook profile to it which wraps around the glass in the gasket, don't try prying on it

The trim on the dash has spring clips holding it on. They will pop out of the holes fairly easily.

Regarding the Door Trim clips, suggest use caution in removing, may need them for reassembly. Posting a link to thread on topic, appears Ford part supplier's recently decided not to carry them, fortunately FTE member is inquiring.

Starting at post #30 is fairly current.

Are these what hold the trim around the panels on the doors?

Those might work but it's hard to get an idea of the size of from the picture. They actually look like clips from my '78 Mustang that hold the interior door panels on.

Here are pics of the clips from my F100 Parts truck that held on the anodized aluminum trim pieces to the dash.

The flat base of the clip that slides into the trim is ~ 11/16" long by 1/2" wide and the clip is ~ 5/8" high.

There are two sizes of the clip Dan is showing us. I think the trim at the windshield takes a different clip than the lower two. That's Ford for ya!

The part numbers for the two styles of clips for the dash trim are

379852-S3

and

C0AB-6404439-F

This second one is the smaller type used on the longest piece at the base of the windshield.
