'03 Edge 2wd front brake hoses??
Trying to replace the front brake hoses during my major brake job.
(2003 Edge 2wd 3.0FF engine)
The hoses that are coming off of it I am very sure are originals.
The parts stores can't seem to give me correct replacements.
I have told them its an Edge, but they say it makes no difference....
What they are trying to give me in no way will replace the current hoses...
Anyone else have these problems?
We've gone up a year and back a year.....

One good thing about RockAuto is that they usually show photos of what they are selling. Have you looked there?
In some instances, the aftermarket is in a state of confusion. It seems one manufacturer just copies another one without really testing the part on a genuine vehicle. In a case like this, you may have to bite the bullet and run the VIN past a genuine Ford parts (wo)man to get a replacement that actually fits.

When it comes to 1998+ Rangers - All 4x4s had torsion bar suspension
All 2wds have coil spring suspension EXCEPT for Edge models. Those have torsion bars just like the 4x4s. So it's not surprising you need 4x4 hoses. For future reference, any time you need to buy front suspension components, just tell them it's a 4x4 to avoid confusion and you'll get the right parts the first time.
