I am looking at a 1994 Ext. cab 4x4 high miles

Hi All,
I am looking at a 1994 Ford F150 Ext. cab shortbox 4x4. The truck is a little rusty but not to bad, it has 209,000 miles mostly hwy miles. This truck has the 302 Fuel injected motor. I test drove the truck and it pulled to the right, and had a fair amount of shimmy going down the hwy. I looked at the truck after I parked it and the passenger front tire was quite low, and one of the back tires was pretty badly cupped. I asked the owner and he said the cupped tire was off of the front of the truck.
I am curious if I should take a chance on this truck or not. How many miles can you get out of one of these 302 FI motors? and could the front shimmy be mostly bad tires and out of alignment?
The price seems right, they will take $4000.00 for the truck.
Any feedback would be great.
Thanks,
Tom

Well, the shimmy is probably caused by worn suspension parts. It could need: Ball Joints, Tie rod ends, etc, seriously warped rotors can also cause a vibration.

I found a similar deal. It was a 93 F150 EXT cab. It has 240,000 miles on it. Interior is excellent, body and paint good. I gave 4400 and my old FORD van. PS i am in Texas. I like it very much. :P
