We're going to explore many of the Florida Water Management District campsites. It will give us maximum practice and number of trips/sites while staying close to home as we learn and sort things out.

We will be in Montana doing ranch work and some much needed river time chasing trout.

Everyone's favorite places sound like a great place to go. Let's keep them coming. Haven't heard from a lot of states yet.

Will be camping in many places here in Wyoming; Bighorn Mountains, Snowy Range Mountains, Wind River Mountains, Grey's River just to name a few.

This summer we are planning small trips about once a month, but we are going to Lakewood Campground in Myrtle Beach for a week over the 4th of July.

I can't wait to take the cover off of my camper and get back out there exploring!
We will be at Lakewood around the 4th. We go every year for 14-16 nights and are usually oceanfront in the north block. Feel free to stop by for a cold refreshment. This is our big trip of the year and we meet up with around 6 other families we have met through the years.

Leaving the morning of the 4th (July) for a few days at this place (Chippokes Plantation State Park ). Meeting a friend there. Will be the first trip since the sidewall repair. Looks like a nice enough place. Will post a few photos when we get back if I remember to take any.

Duh... didn't get ANY photos... weather was HOT and HUMID. Not anything to do there but it was a very nice (quiet) campground. As it's a State Park, not a lot of stuff there...HUGE swimming pool. One bonus was a FREE ferry to the other side of the James River which takes you to Busch Gardens Amusement Park, Water Country and Norfolk area. Yes, large vehicles fit. No RV's over 12' 6". And they run every 1/2 hour.

Wow, all these places look and sound great.

We stay at Charlie Brown in Eastford, CT. A quiet campground but a good group of people. We are seasonal so our 4th is mostly about food. I will dry rub some baby back ribs for 30 people and Kathy will make the Jell-O shots. Everyone brings food from appetizers to desert. Usually some type of cocktails are available. And it wouldn't be complete without a gathering around a fire.

Sounds like fun, John. The country needs a lot more of those kinds of get-togethers.

We're departing MD Tomorrow to head for South Dakota. No reservations until we get back to Destin, FL in August. We're trying to do things a little differently this trip and see how it goes. Hoping to see as much of the midwest National Parks as possible but our plans are totally flexible.

Safe travels. Nothing like flying by the seat of your pants makes for a more adventurous trip...sometimes.
