I'm feeling fairly fine and slowly getting things taken care of on this build. Hooked up my stereo today and it works and then started installing new spark plug wires that still need to be cut to length and the ends crimped at the distributor and also intalled a new ignition coil..

 

Splendid. What engine? What stereo?

Maybe I should check the thread.

 

I've got a 351W and C6 transmission out of an 83 F150. Stereo is a Sony with an Alpine amp just powering 2 speakers but can always put a couple behind the seats later if need be...

My neighbor, who was a classmate of my brother, has an 81 F150 with a 300 that he bought new. He's wanting to sell it. I think it could be bought cheap.

 

From what I hear those 300's are very good motors..

 

They are.

The 79 I had, was equipped with a 300. I wish I would have kept it and made it a project pickup.

 

There was a couple Ford trucks at our dump I wished I had pulled home for the drive trains, one had the 300 and the other had a 351 both fuel injected..
