Might lose some of it's "oomph" by the time it reaches you, but it's starting to come down pretty steady and decent right now here on the coast.

"Outa here by 1 PM" was pure hokum. Just checked Wunderground, and it looks like it will take another couple hours to clear our area. That means more like 5 PM.

You guys east/south of here have some waiting to do.

More slides and flooding. Just shut down 1/3 of SB 5 at lake head and mandatory flood evacuations on the upper Sacramento River.

Let the fun continue.

Just got back to apt, and it started as I was driving. Not hard, but steady so far.

Rain yesterday continued through about 8 PM. That was about 7 hours beyond the original "4 or 5 hour" duration. We got another little dose about 6 this morning; so far about 1/4". The fog seems to be lifting, so we shall see.

Raining right now too. It is about time. I was beginning to wonder if the rain hated Fresno for some reason. LOL

LiveCopter 3 flies over waterfall-like Oroville Dam Spillway

This was from earlier today. I'm quite aways from there, but they are bumping up the release from Shasta too.

This is just south of us. The road just slipped away about 3 PM yesterday.

Yah. I'm guessing a couple years. Assuming they can fix it at all. I'm not sure what the property on the right side is; it may be open space. That would nudge me in the direction of re-routing the road.
