It's heading your way Jim. It's been blowing through here since before midnight, and only now seems to be winding down a little. By the looks of it, you should be seeing it before noon.
We have even more road closures. We are almost cut off at this point. They don't expect to open highway 9 until Sunday (the 12th), but the way the rain keeps coming, I have my doubts.
Highway 84 is closed mostly going both ways, and it's a minute-by-minute guess as to whether you will or won't get through.
But I guess that 84 is a non-issue anyway, because highway 35 is closed between here and there, so we couldn't get there anyway.
And our old, reliable Page Mill Road also has a slide, or did as of bed time last night. Page Mill was pretty much our last way off the mountain. Glad we have stuff in the freeze, or we would have to shoot a deer for dinner.

Today is garbage day, so on my way out with the trash cans, I surveyed the driveway/road out to the main road. A few potholes here and there, but overall, not too bad. After this round today and tomorrow, I will look forward to several days of dry.
We did make a supply trip down to the valley yesterday. Not as bad as I expected, but the route was interesting. Main roads like 9, 35, 84, and 92 all had serious issues. They expect 84 and 9 to remain closed through the weekend. Old roads like Page Mill, Moody, and Old La Honda are hanging tough, but are suffering with the massively increased traffic (not to mention all the "newbies" driving an old narrow road that they are not familiar with).
A propane truck went over the edge on Old La Honda yesterday. The front half of the truck was hanging in space. Probably scared the bejesus out of the driver, but he was unhurt.
Saw a CHP officer at the Skylonda market. He commented that it was a laugh a minute...

We are positively getting hammered (again). They said it would be out of here by 1 PM, but I think it's stalled.
