Can you improve ride with lift and tires?

Can you improve the factory ride with a quality lift and larger tires? The 4x4 Shop guys swear they make a lifted truck ride better than factory, but every lifted truck I have driven rode like chit? What are real world Superduty owners with lift think? What is the best combo, and best riding tires?

You certainly can!! I think the best improvement is high quality shocks like fox or bilstien. If you don't need E rated tires put some D rated tires on and run 35-40 psi for a huge ride improvement. My company duty runs D tires and I have all the capacity I need. My personal rig rolls on E tires to haul my 4000lb camper but when empty there is only 35psi in those tires. I haven't rode in a lifted ford that rides poorly since the 70s!

Most lifted vehicles ride and handle like **** because people buy the cheapest crap possible. Quality parts and proper engineering can make anything ride nice.

Tires, whether huge or stock size can also change the ride based on lots of factors as well but simply running property pressures for the needed weight capacity is a good start.

Some lifts are for looks. Some actually work. Find a lift that actually works (increases articulation) and you might be able to improve the OE ride. In my experience, most of the time the OE ride is as good as it's going to get.

I ran a carli lift with their pin top king shocks on my 2012. Road every smooth. They will tell you it rides best with a 37 in tire on 18in wheels with lower tire pressure. That definitely in the case but you would have to air up if you're going to tow. Additionally I think their full rear leafs ride better than the add a packs. FWIW I only had the add a packs and it sill rode very well.

If you ever get the chance to take a raptor out for a ride don't pass it up I have never been in a f 150 that rides as smooth as that truck.
So ya you can make a lifted and big tire truck ride better just need to use quality parts like the others are saying
