How do I haul 2 trucks and a boat?
All,
I am trying to find the best way to move 3 trucks at once and a 20ft boat. I have a 02 F250 with a 7.3 and fifth wheel hitch, a 4x4 95 F150 long bed with a 3" lift and 33" tires, a 4x4 99 Toyota Tacoma extend cab, and a 20ft ski boat on a trailer.
I am thinking of getting a long car hauler for the F150 and Tacoma and pull it with the F250. The problem is moving the boat at the same time, is it possible to put a hitch on a car hauler?

One of the problems I have is the F150 is not good with long distances or hauling it has been off road to many times. It is more of a project vehicle now days.

Chuck, Thanks for the info on the double towing permit and 65 feet this could be a problem.

Have the F150 on a short gooseneck(there are very few states that allow double bumper pull trailers), with boat in tow, and have a buddy drive the taco.
As far as the F250 "pulling" all you want with it, it will do it, but with one full size and then the taco with the boat in tow, you are looking at dually territory..............pin weight, brakes, axle capacity, etc. then does the boat trailer have electric brakes, or surge brakes? If electric, does your brake controller have the capacity for that many axles??

Depending on what states you are traveling in, you MAY be able to do it this way then(but you would have to stay in states that allow double trailers).

The boat trailer has surge brakes but the boat/trailer combo is about 4 to 5,000 pounds. Does anyone know the weight limits for the F250 7.3 towing a gooseneck with a bumper pull behind it?

Then also, you want to make damn sure the frame on the goose is stout enough to put a hitch on to pull the boat. Some trailers are not. For the expense of a gooseneck trailer(goosenecks are a lot more expensive that bumper pulls), rigging the hitch, etc. I think it would be prudent and wise for you to just make a road trip for the boat, or hire it shipped to your destination.
