Credit card got skimmed maybe

Check your statement for eighty plus dollar charges at a Shell station in LaBelle Florida. I have received a new card but kinda hesitant to use it. Still have no idea what happened. Thought I would start doing prepay inside but they can jack the reader inside too. May just have to go back to cash only and.use the card when there is no other option. *******s.

that is why i rarely use a credit card. i pay for almost everything with cash or check.
especially now with the "safe and secure" chip cards.
since the credit cards have been switching over to those stupid chip cards i have had 3 of my 4 card accounts hacked.
one was hacked twice so far, and the cards have never been activated.
i am getting ready to cancel all of them.

I pay for virtually everything with my credit card...it's like getting a no interest loan for up to 2 months. Balance is paid every month...I've never had a problem.

So its because of the new and improved chip? That's a hell of a note.

Bigken what kind of card do you have?

80$ is nothing, I opened up my statement recently and found a 1200$ charge to a clothing store in NJ... it was eventually resolved but having the police at my house and numerous phone calls it was a rather inconvenient experience.

Evidently the suspect was using other people's credit cards to buy stuff, calling in at the last moment and changing the shipping address.... ironically this lead the police directly to their house and Busted!!!!

both times on the unactivated cards they tried to order buy overseas.
a $2500 plasma TV in the UK, and a $6200 furniture set in Germany.
