Sus*****on Lift for early 99 and late 99
Hello everyone, I did some searching on here but didn't see an answer.. I have a 1999 ford f250 SD. I have been looking at new suspension lifts and when I enter the info about my truck it ask me about the build date, was it built before March of 99 or after March of 99.. mine was built before March of 99.. so I'm just curious if I bought the lift since it is made for trucks built after March of 1999 would it work and if not what is the big difference and what would have to be change. Thanks to anyone for any info
And has anyone made one work

There's three things that are different
1-the early 99 models and some late 99 have a Berlin style front leaf spring
2-tract bar has smaller diameter bolts
3-they had round u bolts
I couldn't find what I wanted but the second drawing is the Berlin, it's bend below the main spring and Ford has two leafs in the front so the second spring has a 1.5" gap where it bends around the eyelet. I've never seen this on a front suspension so I'm assuming that's why Ford changed it so fast plus it doesn't give any support to the main leaf.
if I were you I'd simply order a lift for a late 99 through 2004 SD truck, gi on ebay or a salvage yard and buy the top ubolt mounts for 10 bucks a piece, then buy a zone adjustable yractor bar for a 100 dollars with two new laten99-04 larger bolts. Drill your mounting holes larger then you'll have no issues with lift kits. And remember they sell you a "kit" for your early 99 that's x amount depending on what manufacturer you use for the lift and I believe it's just shims etc because of the stuff I mentioned above. Again I'd just but new u bolts mounts from a later truck and drill the two holes larger and be done with all that ill designed part's you have
