Radiator support fitment

I read somewhere else online that some dentside radiator supports wills fit the 2wd bumps like what I have. Can anyone validate or squash this for me. To fully fix my front end damage from my wreck and do it right this will have to be replaced as there's no "bending it back." Dentside radiator supports are easier to find in the salvage yards.

Yes it is true. I'm not sure till what year though. The core support I have for my 71 is from 76. There will need to have some additional holes drilled for inner fenders and hood latch maybe.

Also remember there are 2 style supports: Super Cool and everything else.

The way the radiator mounts is vastly different.

Theirs is 3 type of rad supports
1. for with the narrow opening for I-6
2. one for the front mounting radiators that has no inner side rails.
3. one for the rear mounting radiator that has it's tall inner side rails.

Here the two wide opening the upper one is a 71 but notice the two different types,
The 73 to 79 can all be used with added drilling of a few holes.

Core support

I used one from a 75 in my 67. Had to drill the 4 holes for the grill brackets. Cut one small square hole and drill hole for the hood latch. And a couple holes per side for the inner fenders. Fairly easy.
