No not stock. It's a new power brake system with dual master cylinder bowls. Suppose to be made for 53-56 F100s.

And which of your trucks is this on?

It looks like a CPP kit? Maybe contact them and ask? They have never been much help to me but just maybe they have an answer. If not you have the choice of returning it or, as I did, modify it. The right place to do that would be to shim out the pedal at the pivot. Moving it to hit the bumper has the added benefit of moving it away from the accelerator pedal if I'm looking at your pictures correctly. Many of the OEMs, most notably Audi, have had problem with what they call "unintended acceleration". This is usually caused by drivers putting their foot on the brake pedal but also overlapping the accelerator pedal. This often happens in reverse when the drivers turn their heads to watch where they are going when they back up.

OEMs found that increasing the gap between the brake and accelerator pedal caused a great reduction, sometimes as much as 70%, in the number of cases of unintended acceleration.

The other alternative would be to move the bumper but then you don't get the gain in safety.

It's actually a knock off from GearHead. I tried to shim the pedal but the shaft it mounts to is too short to support the pedal. Nothing is easy.

BJ if it was easy everyone would be restoring these old trucks -then think of the cost or availability of trucks and parts. Besides you love the misery and good company that loves it along with you too !!!

Yep.. 1 step forward and then 3 steps back.

What pisses me off is the manufacturers advertise this stuff like it is a
bolt in thing and its not.
