I have put a lot of money into this vehicle already. It was used as a company vehicle and drove the country (when it was running and only a few months). From East to West coast. My problem now is, right after the top end of the engine was rebuilt, it was driven to North Dakota. While only being there a few days, it was stopped at a stop light and when the light turned green to go, it wouldn't budge. Pressed the gas, shifted, and nothing happened. It was pushed off the road locked up so it can be taken care of later that day. When the time came to pick it up, it was towed to the hotel. Tried backing it into a parking spot and wouldn't budge. Ended up disconnecting the drive line to push it back. It was towed back to Idaho at the end of the job and parked. Hasn't been touched since. I'm not sure if it is the transmission or not. Any help with this would be much appreciated.
Welcome to the EX forum.
If you could provide more details about the vehicle itself such as engine, mileage and if its RWD or 4X4 that may help to troubleshoot you issues. Also a little more detailed explanation of what has been done and the exact symptom will help.

Was the engine still running? If so, did the engine rev up when the accelerator pedal was pushed? If the engine was running at this point did the transmission make any unusual sounds, bangs or vibrations? It was pushed off the road locked up "Locked up" as in the engine wouldn't crank, the trans was stuck/jammed and wouldn't allow movement, or something else was keeping the wheels from rolling. How was it pushed off the road if it was "locked up"? so it can be taken care of later that day. When the time came to pick it up, it was towed to the hotel. How exactly was it towed? Rollback/flatbed towtruck or with the front or rear lifted and the other end on the ground behind a towtruck? Tried backing it into a parking spot and wouldn't budge. Tried backing it in under it's own engine power or pushing it? Wouldn't budge as in wouldn't go into gear or it would not roll at all? Ended up disconnecting the drive line to push it back. It was towed back to Idaho at the end of the job and parked. Hasn't been touched since. I'm not sure if it is the transmission or not. Any help with this would be much appreciated.
As mentioned, more details will help to unravel this problem.
When it was locked up and towed, if flatbed towed did the rear wheels roll onto the truck or did they drag/slide? With the driveshaft removed did it roll freely and easily (for a 7k truck)? Any odd noises when pushed around with the shaft removed? With the driveshaft out (assuming it still runs) does the trans output flange spin when shifted into either drive or reverse?
Is the trans fluid full? Good condition, bright red with no burnt smell?
