1960 F100 302 & trans swap question - need quick answer ASAP

good afternoon all. I may have the opportunity to grab a 1960 F100 rolling chasis and a low-miles motor and transmission (302 and 5 speed) out of a '93 mustang cheap. I need a quick answer on the level of difficulty that transplant is. Am I looking at just buying the correct motor mount/trans mount kit and dropping it in or is this a much more complicated install (frame cutting, welding, fabrication, etc)? Has anyone done this swap that can offer up any serious concerns or suggestions like "just so you know, you have to cut wheel wells out to get it to fit" or something.

Don't want to buy this setup only to have to deal it away because it's not doable reasonably.

thanks all!

The engine compartment is plenty big to do this transplant. Not easy to do considering the 93 has computer and a large wiring harness. You will have to either buy a kit or fabricate mounts for sure.

the hardest part of the swap is going to be the T5 transmission. you are going to have to either convert the T5 to a hydraulic clutch setup or install a cable clutch system in truck to connect to clutch system. also have to place the shifter assembly so you can actually use it in the truck as they are pretty far back on the tailhousing. although not impossible you might be worlds ahead to sell the T5 and buy and automatic instead. much easier install. you will probably have to remove the rear crossmember for clearance purposes.

as far as wiring goes, lots of aftermarket wiring kits for the EFI 5.0 that makes it a lot easier to wire then using the factory Mustang harness. you will also need a hi pressure fuel pump to work with the efi system.
