F700 Water Pump Question

Hey guys. I have a 1989 F700 with a 370 in it. I'm in the process of changing the water pump. Does the 370 have a backing plate? I have the old pump off and it doesn't have one. Should it?

Thanks NumberDummy for the information. You wouldn't by chance have an illustration showing the water pump bolt sizes and placement would you?

Here's the only pic, it's next to worthless. The part number for the bolt is different in the text (387850-S100) than it is in the pic (382134-S). No specs for either are listed.

Text does say that there are 5 of these bolts.
