1985 ford cutting out when I press the pedal
Hey, my 1985 f350 with the 460 cuts out when I hit the gas kind of hard and fast. It falls flat on its face and then it revs up, but if I press the pedal easy it accels normaly. I have rebuilt the carb and replaced wires cap rotor and plugs. I'm just wondering if anyone know what the problem might be and hopefully u can help me fix it. (The carb is a holley 9510) Thank you.

Sounds like the accelerator pump. It's not squirting fuel when you gas on it. Check the adjustment on the lever, make sure there's no slack. Cycle throttle a few times and make sure everything is moving properly. You should see/heat gas spray in the carb when cycling the throttle. If that's not it then check the pump diaphragm. Maybe it's torn. If not, take the bowl off again and make sure it's clean and no debris in there to plug things up.
