i'm working on 56 and I was wondering if I could unbolt the cab from the frame and roll it onto its back on some padding to work on the bottom of the cab. I have the bed removed and it would be easy to do I was just wondering if anyone has thoughts on the structural integrity of the cab laying on its back.
Also looking for a Cowl vent brace and handle for 56 if anyone has one for sale let me know
64cab rust 007
the 49 I rolled it on its back a lot when installing the engine/tranny while the cab was on the frame
sometimes I put carpet under other time I put a tire just depended on what I was doing when welding be careful for fire
I do it all the time. Many times when I just want to get a better angle on the lower firewall I will tilt the cab back and let the upper edge of the rear window opening rest on a barrel or sawhorse.
