How to turn on dome lights 92 f350

Hey guys my interior (dome) lights and cargo light arent working in my 1992 f350 crew cab honestly i dont even know how to turn them on, iv heard turn the headlight **** to the left but once the dash lights are as bright as they can be it doesnt turn any farther anyone know how to turn the lights on manually ?

you should feel a little 'detente' just before the **** reaches its maximum travel to the left. once you go past that and the **** is rotated all the way to the left, your dome light should come on. if you are not feeling that detente, i would guess that there's a good chance your switch is messed up. they are prone to failure after 25 years or so.

+1 to what Joey2fords said. The outside cargo lights (beside the 3rd brake light) should turn on at the same time.

They should come on when you open the door.

my truck doesnt have a 3rd brake light. Just a cargo light. I figure my lighting needs to be rewired its all screwed up. But if i can get it working id like to start there

in that case ... start by checking the bulb(s). it's not uncommon for a truck to have a previous owner that couldn't be bothered replacing bulbs as they burned out.

iv replaced a few bulbs but a few of the lights dont even have bulbs in them. Could that cause a problem ??

Not to my knowledge. You've likely got a short somewhere. Best of luck.

Just like joey said. There is a detent in the far counter clockwise position. If it is not there, then the switch is bad
