Exclamation Looking for a clutch MC push rod

Mine bent and broke.
Anyone have an old MC lying around that you don't want the push rod for?
Looks like they are the same for
BRONCO 1984-1987
F-100 1983
F-150 1983-1987
F-250 1980-1987
F-350 1983-1987

I'd like to avoid buying a complete MC since mine isn't very old.

Thanks,

Hydraulic clutch introduced in 1983 F250/350 with 6.9L diesel & 7.5L (460).

All other F150/350's and Broncos have a hydraulic clutch beginning in 1984.

E3TZ-7A543-A .. Clutch Master Cylinder = 1983 F250/350 6.9L & 7.5L; 1984/87 F150/350 & Bronco all I-6 & V8.

Thanks for the info, I was going by Rock Auto's model listings for it. But they have been known to be less than accurate, insisting on parts fitting that the mfg says no, or insisting a part will fit a vehicle that never existed.

Thanks for the Ford PN.
A complete MC is certainly an option, but hoping I can find a push rod in someone's spare parts bin.

BTW, mine broke on the way home from work Friday. Good thing I hadn't forgotten speed shifting.

It's amazing that today, probably 75% of the people in the US do not know how to drive a M/T

Forty years from now, people won't be operating cars at all because computerized automation will be doing everything FOR them.

Exchange between Marie Dressler and Jean Harlow (playing a trollop) in the film Dinner At Eight (MGM:1933).

Harlow (as Kitty Packard): I was reading a book the other day and the guy said that machines will soon take the place of everything.

Dressler (as Carlotta Vance): Oh my dear, that's something you'll never have to worry about!

Ha!!!

Do you have Video On Demand on your Cable TV service, Bill? Go watch a Disney/PIXAR movie called WALL-E for a perspective on this topic. It's a funny movie one of today's cartoons but was made almost 10 years ago and is kinda dated at this point.

Yes I do, but have never used it. I'm a old film buff, so I watch TCM

And before you say anything, I've been an old film buff since I was a young 'un, because in the 1940's/60's, KTLA ran old Paramount Films, KTTV ran everything else.

KTLA Channel 5 is the oldest TV station west of the Mississipipi, was founded circa 1946 by Paramount Pictures. At one time, Gene Autry also owned it under the aegis Golden West Broadcasting.

KTTV Channel 11 (now FOX) was owned for many years by the LA Times.

Kinda Like Buy-N-Large in that Disney Movie, it's a sort of WalMart of the future that has taken over civilized culture.

Your firewall is not cracked is it? Once you get it fixed, see if it moves when someone pushes the clutch.

Thanks again for the number. When I got the MC out the end of the housing was damaged when the push rod bent.
Found a NOS MC on ebay for $27.

I'm thinking that maybe the mechanism in the housing it trashed. I can't think of anything that would cause the MC pushrod to bend otherwise, unless something completely blocked the hydraulic circuit and that shouldn't be the case since the MC and SC are only a few years old.
There's also the fact that the release lever moves fore and aft a lot without doing anything other than clanking. Then when it's moved fully forward by hand I can't lever it further forward at all with my wrecking bar.

I looked in the shop manual to see if I could tell what would be messed up that would cause the problem, but couldn't really tell.

2 pics: Clutch master cylinder shown as 7A543

M/C rod uses a nylon bushing (7526) where it attaches to the 7A554 bellcrank. The bushing could have cracked apart, it may have gone bye-bye.

This would cause the pushrod to "flop around" on the shaft of the bellcrank.

Right you are, Mr. NumberDummy! This fact is part of my truck's "security package". Oh yeah, mine also has a [non-original] manual choke, which many do not know how to use!

Yeah, I converted to a hemi-joint per this post.
