Well, my immaculate 96 F250 isn't so nice anymore...I crashed into a Honda yesterday. I'm going to need a new chrome grille guard, & it looks like Westin no longer makes the model like I have on it now...the only one I've been able to find is made by Go Rhino. Does anyone have a picture of one of these on an OBS Ford? I haven't been able to find one on the interweb...
Doh, my search was for later model. I hate when they do that(throw stuff in that isn't what you searched). Sorry, I didn't read the whole title on Ebay.
Yesterday's project-
New bumper, new front hitch. Got the hood aligned pretty well still need to work on the bumper alignment and install the bugshield and lower valance. The only chrome grille guard I can find for a 20 year old Ford is $800, so I will probably not replace that...
Here's the Go Rhino. I'll admit that when the truck was stock height, I did not like it, felt like it stuck out too far. Now that its lifted, I like it a lot more.
Thanks Steelhorse4x4!
That's exactly what I wanted to see... And I agree, I think its too much for a stock truck. Now, what about that front bumper with the built-in lights? Where did that come from?
I bought the truck 3 yrs ago with all the 90's cool stuff on it still. I'm slowly working my way through the truck and building what I want. It's 5.8 E4OD converted to mass air. I scored a computer from a 95 California Bronco, the only vehicle that ford made that was 5.8, E4OD, and had mass air OBD1. GT40 heads with the emissions system still intact. Shorty headers and custom dual 2.5 inch exhaust. Then both axles have been rebuilt and now 4.10 gears. Entire frame has been sandblasted and epoxy coated. 10 inches of lift and 36 15.50 16 tires and rims. Going to zf5 this summer and probably cam and intake. THEN starts the body work. This is how it was when I bought it for 1700.00
Hi. This is my first posting on here, please bear with me if its messy...this brush guard was on my '95 7.3 when I bought her last year. I can't find another exact anywhere online!! My auto body guy at a local dealership even tried for days to find this specific style for another customer who wanted mine last year when my truck was in for a new hood hinge and paint. ...I wish I had sence to get that other customer's info because I am selling this one, listing it tonight. I had the great luck of finding a never mounted Ranch Hand grill guard that was scuffed but still wrapped in original wrapping, so i'm putting that on The Brick.
Does anyone know if this chrome one was a Ford option, or who made it? I've found a dozen almost-the-same but not one exact
Thanks in advance for any info!
to thechief66...yours wraps around, is the outer steel tubing a larger diameter than the center tubes?

That is a Westin Brush Guard for an OBS Ford. They do not make them anymore and from what I can tell, they are pretty hard to come by these days. I was able to pull one off an F-350 at the junk yard last year but I just about had to fight a few other guys for it.

I have one off our f350 that I'm trying to get rid of. But I have some questions, how much is it worth? And what year/make is it compatible with? Any ideas?
