So while I was doing the GP change, I of course had to unbolt the dipstick tube, and move it out of the way to pull the valve cover.

Well whilst buttoning everything back up, I realized the the bottom of the tube was still loose, crawled under and saw it was hanging there loose.

I pushed it back into the hole, but it seems like it can pull back out easily still, and probably I assume leak oil as well.

Am I missing something?

 

Should be a special o ring down there to seal and hold in place. Blue, beveled, maybe still in your driveway. If not, Bob can hook you up.

Awesome, thank you. I don't know where the old one is, I'll check the garage floor again.

If I can't find it, hopefully it won't leak to much, as I have to drive it tomorrow and Sunday, it's my daily, and I don't have a backup. I checked all the local big boxes, and they don't have it.
