Mine used to do that I replaced the slave cylinder and that fixed it but it only did it after very long stretches of highway so whether it fixed it or not I don't know for sure but I know I never had it happen again

Sounds like a slave issue. At this point I would replace both. I would not waste the time on just one. Get both and know you are starting with fresh.
