I may be losing my left leg sometime in the near future,and need to find a bellhousing and starter plate that will bolt to the original 226 flathead 6 engine in my 51 Ford coupe.

Does anyone know if the 216 OHV sixes had the same bellhousing bolt pattern as the flathead 6's?

Or does anyone have a 51 flat 6 bellhousing and starter plate.

I know I can buy a kit to put a C4 in the car. I don't want to do that. I don't want to make any major modifications to it like that. I want to keep it all period correct.

Anybody out there know,or even know the parts numbers I need? I have one of the CD parts manuals,but all the 51 bellhousing it shows have the same parts number.

Anyone out there have one for sale?
