That's gotta include property taxes too right? I didn't include those in my numbers. My total bill is property tax, city tax, city vehicle fee, county tax, inspection and registration. It's steep, $800 roughly if I remember correctly.

I'm in NC. There's a $13.xx safety inspection that has to be done before tag renewal if your over 8500# gvwr or diesel. Under that and gas it's $30. 35+ years old is exempt. Then you have to pay property tax at the same time as the tag. Plus the tag has to carry enough weight rating for everything being pulled or carried by the truck. So I pay $384 for 19000# weighted tags since my combined gvwr (truck, trailer, camping gear, passengers, and my 78 f150 rockcrawler) is 18500 sitting on the scales. Then I also have 364.35 in property tax (county + local volunteer FD + local recreation department) so the grand total is around $760 on my 2016 f250. The tax will drop as the truck depreciates. I was paying around $450 on my old 03 f250.
The 78 f150 is around $90 because I use a regular car (6000# or less) first in flight tag on it. And it's tax value is $800 LOL.
My 67 Fairlane's is around $150. It's the same $30 tag as the 78 but it's valued at $8000, after much arguing.
I paid a one time $75 fee for permanent trailer tags, but I have to include the tax value on it with my house property tax at the end of the year, it's only $15 or so.
NC is pretty rediculous.
