In the fire service we use like 4x4 square post and cut them into approximately 2' lengths and then drill a hole through them on one end. Then use some scrap rope to make a loop through the drilled hole.

now you have some easily stackble cribbing that is easy to retrieve and store.
Thanks Holmes, Thats what I do too

Either way, glad you got it out!
Im glad I got out too. Just got back from a local trip. My back 40 is still pretty muddy and I had to used 4x4 to get my trailer through the yard. Thank god for 4x4, diesel and a turbo.

I went and bought 2 pressure treated 6x6s and cut it into 18-24" pieces. When I having to put the camper in soft spots, I use 2 of the 24" side by side as a base with 2 18" ones criss crossed on top of those for my landing gear to sit on. Givens me a good base, high enough and also gives me cribbing in case I have to jack it up on the road for some reason.
I'm glad you got it out and good job thinking outside the box!

At work for the next 50 hours. Will try to remember to post when I get home Friday. May try to snap a pic of my TT toyhauler as I have it set up the same way when I get the dogs out before work this morning.

I snapped these of my TT toyhauler we use for hunting camp. I do the same when the 5er is parked on softer ground. I put handles on them to make them easier to carry, harder to stack, but easier to move around.

Great pics of the rescue...but I think it would have been more fun to turn off the traction control and just spin the tires until you got to the desired depth.
