It was a nice day here, too bad it`s the last one for the next week or so.
While small block V8 motors are about 500 pounds I was thinking of the newer 4 and V6 bangers. That 460/5 speed with accessories must have weighted a ton!
Good to hear that your thermostat housing and cover showed up today, you`ll be busy. I`m still waiting on a left front patch panel and bed mounting bolts, pads.
Our dump days are Tuesday and Thursday afternoons till 7, Sat from 9 to 5.

 

The dump nearest to my house is open Saturday to Tuesday from 7.30 to 5, the other option is about 10 down the road .
The 460 was not a fun pull as the rad added a foot and the Trans brake added another 8" to it. Motor complete would be about 750, transmission 130 plus clutch, brake, radiator and fluids. It would have been close to a 1000 lbs, I just didn't want the hassle of breaking it all apart , moving it 12' and putting it all together again in order to put it in the other truck.

Good morning folks.
Grey and cool today, think its going to be a take a walk to the mall to get my prescription kind of day.

 

It started out fairly nice here but got chilly as wind came up and the clouds rolled in about mid morning.

 

We'll be lucky to see 7c today, oh well, guess I'll have to listen to Eric Clapton live at Budokan check the mail and do the mall. Have a small job to do but thats not until 4.

 

It`s 6°C but to me it feels like -16°C with 33 km/h wind.

 

Its pretty humid today and its a cool 7c, if I didn't need this prescription filled I would call it a day. Ttyl, may as well get this done

 

I hope to get it back in the garage on a warm weekend. 17 deg now, but close to 0 and snow/rain for the weekend. I have a lot of parts, and should keep me busy for a while.

 

Crappy weather for us going way going past Monday, some rain, some flurries and quite cold.
