Just back from Leavenworth with the wife's family. 4 Fords, 8 adults, 4 kids, 2 dogs, 2 travel trailers. Turns out it was Autumn Leaf festival, which means town was packed, but that just makes it fun in my opinion. We camped at Thousand Trails about 15 miles out of town. Family, Brats, Beer, Whisky, Wine, Pastries, Campfires, RC Cars, doesn't get any better!
Camping sites:
Rigs:
Leavenworth:
Brats:
Beer - "Dark Persuasion" mmmmmmm:
Bourbon - Limited Quantity Selection - Bottle 68 of 100:
Wine - The Ice Wine is amazing:
Baked Goods (and great Breve espresso):
The only thing we broke this weekend - The Stampede has the VXL-3 with a 3S Lipo... Stock plastic parts can't handle the torque =)
Met my match with Steven's Pass. Can't make it up either side without pulling over. Still got some work to do on the cooling system I guess. Gonna call up our friends at Ranaway Diesel in Duvall take a look this fall when the Ex isn't in use.

The last time I was up that way there was noting but snow and
Christmas lights. Nice and quiet with the snow crunching under foot.

I love the food/drinks from Leavenworth. I've made sure to take $150-ish when my wife and I visit just to just blow on food/drinks and that's really endeared us to the atmosphere more than just walking around and taking everything in from the street. As far as the 'spendy' things go, so far I've tried Mozart's Delmonico (specialty steak from Mozart's) and the whiskey I posted from Blue Spirits Distilling. The steak was amazing and the whiskey is so good that I'll definitely go back and try more of their limited quantity stuff, because it was very well done. My to-do list also contains getting a bottle of the Ice Wine from Goose Ridge Estate Winery's tasting room. It was like.. liquid honey. So good! Also, I'd like to get my own growler for Icicle Brewery, as I'm not a huge beer guy, but their Dark Persuasion made a very good impression on me and I'd like to try some more.

Very good, thank you for the info.
I was hoping to get up there by Thanksgiving this year, before there is much snow. But I think I will either be at that KOA there, or just stay down in Monroe and drive up for the day.

I stayed at the TT park in Leavenworth a couple of years ago. Nice park. A little tight in a few
places, bushes brushing the sides, etc. (towing a 32ft 5th wheel).
Had a nice back-in spot overlooking a field. I'd go there again.

Anyone looking for a Bartending gig Friday-Sunday in South Seattle PM me for information.
Haven't done anything to the truck other than drive it and haul a bicycle a couple t
II did get the tie-rods and lower control arms on my 2001 Civic that I got for a great deal from FIL. Tomorrow I'm planning on taking it to Firestone for an Alignment. Ball joints and wheel bearings are on the way to. The way to separate the ball joints on these almost destroys the boots. With 181k it should be good for a while.

I've found myself to be in Bently's boat, dinking around with the commuter car more than the Ex. I've come to learn that Subarus with JDM WRX swaps are extremely fun to drive, and it appears to satisfy my heavy foot enough that when I'm in the Ex I drive much nicer to it haha. Eventually I'll get around to sending the Ex over to Ranaway Diesel for them to fix my nagging issues that I simply don't want to deal with anymore due to the lack of time I have to poke around in the garage. Also going to have them run a compression test and hope that I'm not looking at a head gasket issue related to my inability to stay cooled while towing.
