And Dewalt has made an battery adapter so you can run the 20V battery on the normally powered 18V XRP tools.

DEWALT 18V–20V MAX Battery Adapter, Model# DCA1820 | Power Tool Batteries| Northern Tool + Equipment

18V to 20V Adapter - DCA1820 | DEWALT

Home Depot has the kit. DEWALT 20-Volt MAX Battery Adapter Kit for 18-Volt Tools-DCA2203C - The Home Depot

Atwoods has it cheaper.

Exactly Rich. The Lowes commercial account guy won't even offer them to his customers. He called and told me to stay away from his customers. I sold a few to a buddy because me and the DeWalt factory rep were on calls a couple months ago.

good morning missouri.... i dont know alot about the cordless tools..all i ever owned is the craftsman 19.2 volt.. i dont use them alot so the batteries have a habit of going bad on me .. i guess i have had the 3/8 drill, the 90degree angle drill, the 7" circular saw, the reciprocating saw (very very well used) and a couple of lights for around 15 years or so.. so i guess i cant gripe about em... i would not call em 'professional' grade by any means, but they do what i need em for usually.. i am thinking of going to the new batteries and charger then get a 1/2" impact wrench

Morning all. I'm playing hookey today for a doctor's appointment to see what they may be able to do to help keep my mind from going places I don't want it to here lately.

In other news, I've discovered a interesting side effect from all the work I've had to do on the truck recently. In the past, the charge indicator on the truck has always read on the low side of things. I've had it tested a number of times, but it was in an acceptable range so I thought no more about it. Since changing the fuel pump and ignition coil however, its now reads where I would expect it to even with all the accessories on. Since this was going on with the original 6 cylinder, I wonder if the fuel pump was drawing more power than it should have without blowing the circuit protections.

Regardless of why, I'm breathing a little easier now. I've been stranded in the middle of nowhere New Mexico with a failed charging system enough that I used to carry a spare battery, alternator, and fan belts when I went on longer trips.

Evening All!

I came to the conclusion that most everything in a fab shop is freakin' HEAVY. I got all the storage stuff moved, now I started in on the materials. ....like all the plate steel. ...That was fun.

Evening all. Pretty nasty out there still but at least the roads were better on the way home. Swiped the wife's 4Runner this morning since the schools were closed and had zero problems on the roads.
